Morristown Pools: Rates, Opening Days For 2023 Season

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Summer is quickly approaching, and you may be planning activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. Spending hot afternoons at the local pool is an obvious summer favorite pastime.

Morristown's Burnham Pool recently opened to the public for weekend access, commencing the start of the 2023 summer season.

While the pool is open, the Town of Morristown Recreation Division is hiring workers for both Burnham Pool and Cauldwell Kiddie Pool for this summer.

Morristown is looking for lifeguards and swim team coaches, according to officials. Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old, and current lifeguard certification is preferred.

The Burnham Pool job pays $15 per hour and lasts until Sept. 4, 2023. Cauldwell Pool pays $17 per hour, and the season runs until Aug. 14, 2023.

The Burnham Pool opened on May 27, with a full schedule available on the Morristown website for the first few weeks. Its regular business hours will begin on June 26, 2023, and will last until Sept. 3, 2023.

During this time, the pool will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Burnham Pool complex includes a main pool measuring 25 by 50 meters, a separate diving tank, a wading pool with a water fountain, a training pool, a sand area, a concession stand and a picnic area.

Resident families will pay an additional $15 annually, compared to last year, with a new rate of $265 and individual resident members will pay an additional $10. Resident couples will pay $15 more this year, with a new rate of $230.

The Barracudas Swim Team also practices at the Burnham Pool.

From mid-June to the end of July, the swim team welcomes young swimmers of all skill levels. Weekday practices and meets are held for a fee of $45 per swimmer on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
