Call of Duty Season 4 gets action

May 01, 2023

A new trailer has been revealed for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Warzone, showing off some of the content we can expect to see in Season 4.

Unveiled at E3 2023, the trailer focuses on a brand new map: Vondel. The trailer shows off slick gunplay alongside frenetic vehicle action. Expect tight corners, brutal rooftop action, and stylish urban cosmetics in this latest addition to one of gaming's most beloved shooters.

The Call of Duty franchise has remained relevant since 2003 by constantly iterating and updating the classic formula.

As with any new Call of Duty update, we can expect a variety of new weapons and equipment. We also know that Season 4 will bring updates to the popular Resurgence mode, including a new Dynamic Timer feature. This will automatically adjust a squad's timers should your teammates disconnect. Should your crew rejoin, the timers will return to normal. It's a welcome addition, that'll stop dodgy internet connections from getting in the way of the fun.

On top of that, the new Vondel map is also set to be an exclusion zone for DMZ players to explore at their own leisure. The new map will also feature dynamic fog, with a changing density level depending on weather conditions. This immersive touch will make sneaking around a much more viable strategy for craftier players.

The Vondel map will launch alongside a new public event called High Stakes. This new event will cause crates to periodically drop from the sky which will grant XP buffs to those lucky enough to capture them.

Season 4 is slated to bring more of what Call of Duty fans love, while gently improving and tweaking Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone's existing systems.

Call of Duty Season 4 is dropping June 14 across Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and mobile. It won't be long before we're able to get stuck into the latest maps.
