The park is located at the intersection of Broadway and Main and Third Streets in Kendall Center. The newly renovated, triangular park features a pavilion surrounded by park benches and a water fountain, as well as green space and tree cover.
Free, no tickets required.
Berklee College of Music is hosting free performances at Kendall Center as part of its Summer in the City concert series. On select Tuesday nights, visitors to Galaxy Park can listen to Berklee students play music from a variety of genres, including pop, jazz, and Latin.
The first concert on June 6 will feature singer-songwriter Dakota, whose pop music combines rock and funk twists with powerhouse vocals to create a nostalgic sound. The newly minted Berklee alum has performed at Lollapalooza, Milwaukee's Summerfest, and SXSW. She also recently won Berklee's Best Songwriter Award.
Future concerts will feature Berklee R&B duo Two Smooth on June 13 and alternative rock music group Sampson Piermattei on June 27. The Kendall Center performances through July and August will include Cuban flutist and composer Sheila del Bosque, indie rock musician Becca Packer, and more.
