UFC Gym is opening a 35,000-square-foot club in Brea this summer.
The gym at 220 S. Brea Blvd. will feature an octagon for combat sports training, a group fitness studio, a weight room with free weights and six Olympic lift platforms, cardio and strength training equipment, personal training, bag rack and gym store.

The Arm Bar Cafe and Recovery area will provide services such as cryotherapy, red light therapy and spray tanning. Those options are also available to non-members, UFC Gym said.
The club, which is due to open in July, will be open 24 hours Monday through Thursday; 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays; and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Kevin Armstrong MD Memorial Sports Foundation is be hosting its 13th annual fundraising golf tournament at Tustin Ranch Golf Course on Monday, April 3.
The event honors the late Kevin L. Armstrong, a student-athlete at Woodbridge High School in Irvine and the first Black student to be accepted to the Orthopedic Residency Program at the UCLA School of Medicine. He died unexpectedly in 2005 at the age of 39. Friends and family members launched KAMSF to continue his legacy of giving back to the community.
The foundation says its programs have helped 15,000 Santa Ana student-athletes through its RunStrong running club that trains and equips students to successfully compete in and complete 5k and 10k races.

The Life Without Limits Charity Golf Tournament takes place Monday, April 24.
The nonprofit Unlimited Possibilities in Santa Ana will host the 2023 event at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita. Participants will get a golf goodie bags, golf shirts, a putting contest, lunch and refreshments, an auction and course competitions.
Money raised at the event this year will go toward a new pediatric therapy center in Santa Ana.
"We are excited to get back out on the green for our annual charity golf to engage our community in making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families with disabilities and living a life without limits," said Ramin Baschshi, president and CEO of Unlimited Possibilities. T
The event starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are $500 per golfer and $1,500 for a party of four.

MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley opened its Dao Family Cardiovascular Suite on March 1.
Philanthropists and business leaders Michael Dao and Linh Bui were recognized for their $1 million donation to Orange Coast Medical Center to support its MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute.
The suite includes a second cardiac catheterization laboratory, a dedicated cardiovascular observation unit for pre-procedural admission and post procedural recovery and eight additional private patient rooms.
Lutheran Social Services of Southern California in Orange published its first issue of ENGAGE Magazine in 2023.
The magazine was created to share the nonprofit's stories developed through its 40 social services programs in six counties throughout Southern California.
"Our mission is to bring thoughtful and engaging commentary on social issues and the people working to solve them, while also displaying the mission of LSSSC's goal to embrace, equip and empower the vulnerable of Southern California," says Dr. LaSharnda Beckwith, LSSSC CEO and president.

Ronnie Collins has been hired by Visit Anaheim as its senior vice president of sales. He will be in charge of Visit Anaheim's revenue strategy, convention sales, meeting sales, destination services, tourism and partnership sales. Collins has 20 years of sales experience and most recently was director of sales for Visit Phoenix.
Mark G. Freeman has been named chief medical adviser at Irvine-based Axis Research & Technologies, a bioskills training and cadaver lab that supports medical device research and training. The board-certified orthopedic surgeon will provide clinical guidance and surgical expertise to the company's medical education labs.
Ralph H. Winter has joined Snell & Wilmer as a corporate and securities partner in the firm's Costa Mesa office. His practice will focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, equity and debt financings, joint ventures and general corporate matters. Winter previously served as partner at an AmLaw 50 firm.
Raising Cane's donated $22,579.74 to Huntington Dog Beach after its National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Plush Puppies campaign raised $400,000 across the U.S.
The money will help the dog beach nonprofit continue its efforts to preserve the 1.5-mile strand of sand reserved for Fido and pals.
Goodman, an industrial property group, has donated $75,000 to go toward a hybrid, 2023 Ford F-150 truck for Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The nonprofit will use the truck its Harvest Solutions Farm and will specifically move farm goods.
"We are so grateful to partners like Goodman who allow us to carry forward our mission of providing dignified, equitable and consistent access to nutritious food," said Claudia Keller, CEO, Second Harvest Food Bank. "The new truck will be a vital tool for our Harvest Solutions Farm, allowing us to continue providing fresh, nutritious food to those in need in Orange County."
The farm allows Second Harvest to offset rising food prices and supply chain disruptions by growing its own food, which is distributed to children and adults in Orange County. Since its launch in 2021, Second Harvest said it has harvested nearly 3 million pounds of farm fresh produce.
